Hello All,

As you may have heard from Tom Jeramiason, I've set up the new home of the
Berkeley Boat Owner's Association web site. Tom has asked me to add the
email addresses he received at the first meeting to this new announcement 
only list. Your email was on that list, which is why you're receiving this 
welcome letter.

At the web site we'll soon have a place for members to add and review
information, scan the important links list already started by Tom, and get
to the mailing list archives for this list, and soon to be sub commitee
lists. My time for maintaining the web site is limited, so upgrades will 
take place slowly

In general this email list will be for announcing meetings, agendas, 
soliciting input on the website etc. This list will be low volume 
posted  only by list owners (I'm happy to set up another list for all 
members to communicate via, but will not sign people up automatically for that list.
 
I'll be brief with this first email. The next Berkeley Water Front 
commission sub committee meeting is tomorrow night, and is covering 
financing. Can Two people _PLEASE_ volunteer to attend the meeting, and 
then write up a short email that will be posted to the rest of the group?
(please email me directly to say that you will be attending the meeting).

It's very important that we as marina regulars show an interest in how 
funds will be obtained and used to maintain the marina.
