I am appreciative of Erwan Illien's enthusiasm to question where our slip fees are going. My family and I love having our boat and take full advantage of sailing the bay but it's expensive. We don't live on our boat and our son is two. Getting that bill from the city frequently creates the dicussion of whether it's worth the money. We all know it's worth it but when we see the money going into projects and events we don't agree with, it's frusterating. I do feel the marina does a good job at keeping the marina nice and safe and accessable to the whole city and I have been understanding of the frequent increases in slip fees. I simply appreciate that the owners of all these boats / owners of the marina are coming together to question where our money's going.
