Hello All,
Please take a look in the recycling bins today & see if they picked up the
mixed paper. They didn't at O dock. I'm wondering if they did at any dock?
If not, please send an email to <LStangl at ci.berkeley.ca.us> pointing this
out. Also, a phone call 981 7270 is advised.

Hi Ann,
Tom Jeramiason mentioned to me recently when I was inquiring that I should
notify you if the recycling isn't beeing dealt with regularly by the
recycling crew.
The Recycling bins at O dock are rarely, if ever emptied. Even today ,
when I _think_ recycling came by, they only emptied one of the two big
recycling bins. The other is still brimming over from material that has
been there for weeks.
I've noticed on numerous occasions, even on friday loose cardboard and
other light paper material floating in to the marina from recycling papers
that get blown into the marina .
I've tried to assist, and John's suggestion by calling the City of
Berkeley recycling phone line. HOwever, they're voicemail tree is
unfriendly, and downright unhelpful. Too boot they mention fines if you
don't report within 24hrs of the scheduled pickup. Perhaps bing a city
representative they would listen to you more closely than to me?
Please do contact them and point out that they're littering the marina by
letting recycling stay in the bins for weeks, even months.
I'm also quite happy to help keep an eye on the bins & report back to you
if they miss a scheduled pickup. Can you please tell me when that pickup
is supposed to be?
Thanks for looking into this.
Zach
