[Bboa-members] reminder - sub commitee meeting tomorrow at 4:30pm at the marina conference hall , idea for prioritizing marina funds to the marina

Hello All,

Please remember, Waterfront finance sub committee is meeting at 4:30 pm 
at the marina conference hall tomorrow wednesday March 29

Hopefully we can have several people in attendance.

Idea, perhaps to make sure the marina is prioritized with respect to 
marina funds the waterfront commission should look at the financial 
budget as if it were  a business. Then what is excess (after paying for 
expenses, setting aside resources for future maintenance/dock upgrades, 
etc) can be allocated for expenditures such as  Marina sponsored kite 
flying festivals, fireworks etc.

Has anyone with more accounting & town budgetary knowledge been able to 
ascertain if this is even possible within the City of Berkeley framework?
