Just to make this clear, that's an *additional* $2m on top of the $7m already in the pipeline. It will cost $9m to rebuild H&I and A-B-C docks, and possibly repair some of the damaged parts of O-dock. At last count it looks like we'll be out of money before we get to D and E.
There are some interesting alternatives being investigated for marina management, including some form of privatization. (One-sentence summary: Almar believes they can run the Berkeley Marina at a profit, but they would start by raising berth rates to $10.50/ft.) Don't panic, this is not a serious consideration at this time. Please come to the meeting to learn more.
You need to arrive before 7 and fill out a speakers card in order to be assured of an opportunity to comment to the Commission.
